Cupcakemonsters Issue 7 veers terrifyingly close to being a themed issue, something I've studiously avoided since the tongue-in-cheek "Black and White" theme I ran for issue 3. This time round it was nearly a whitewash of Australian Solo Projects, namely POPOLICE, PIKELET and FULTON GIRLS CLUB. The only interview to break out from that stellar company was FOG, the excellent Minneapolis trio. The issue is exceptionally long and features art by Grant Matthias Gronewold (ex. of Fulton Girls Club) as well as a mixtape by PAPERGHOST and my photos of SONIC YOUTH.
